A storytelling musical by Hans-Ola Stenlund about the boy from Bjurholm who became a Hollywood superstar. Next to Greta Garbo, Verner Ölund from Bjurholm was the biggest Swedish film star in Hollywood during the 1930’s.
In 1892, when Verner was 13, he and his family emigrated to the United States. At an early age he started his acting career and did also introduce August Strindberg to the American audience. During the movie industry’s pioneering age in the 1910’s, Verner starred in several silent movies as Warner Oland.
